Potters Brook Cattle Company is located on approximately 250 acres of pasture, hay fields and mixed forest in Litchfield, Maine.  Previously it was a small family dairy farm that was in operation for several decades until 2003.  Most of the farm is now in a conservation easement; basically preserving the farm land as it is.

This business venture is still in the early stages (as is this website), but when it is fully operational,
Potters Brook Cattle Company will be a cow/calf operation comprised mostly of black Angus beef cattle.

The Angus beef line is one of the most recognized beef breeds in North America along with Hereford, Limousin, Charloais, Belted Galloway and Texas Longhorn.  We chose the Angus breed based on several characteristics including calving ease, early maturity, adaptable to a wide range of weather conditions, high carcass yield with good marbling for lean and tender meat.
